Yesterday after attending the Jackson County Fair we headed for the Taylor County Fair. Mr. Ed's Magical Midway provided the rides for this event.

Weather was warmer at this event and the weather was a mixture of sun, clouds and a little rain every now and then. The midway was rather quiet, for that matter the entire fair was quiet.

Every once and awhile the rides would spin but for the most part they sat waiting for passengers. Games were extremely quiet too for the most part. Food was quiet too, there were some food joints that would move some product every now and then and there were others that I never saw anyone approach the window.

Ride tickets because of family day were 4 rides for $5 if my memory serves me right. They had the normal ride ticket prices covered up for most of the afternoon because of the special.

Some things I saw that were different on the midway that I thought added were the numerous signs that Mr. Ed's had on the midway. They were all over the midway too, including a ride safety sign, a list of their rides and the tickets that were required for each ride, a listing of show owned food trailers with a menu, a required height sign and I believe there was another sign too. I thought that was a nice addition to the midway. Good work guys!

Here is what was on the lot...

Was there a reason that you know of that the Tilt had a bonnet off and the Sizzler had tubs folded? Not many people there.

Thanks for the pics and taking the time for the captions.

Thanks for the kind words Trucker and Flamo.

Regarding the tilt bonnet and the sizzler tubs, no there wasn't a reason that I was aware of regarding the tubs. I have been curious though as to why they were operating the rides this way.

CME, Spectrum did have that spot for at least a year or two. However Mr. Ed's has had this spot for at least 3 years as this was my third year seeing Mr. Ed's on the midway.
