I think they look okay for a train layout. They just look, well, plastic, that's all. Hey, at least they are offering something for the "O" scale modeler. Everything else is usually HO scale, or N scale.

Well I did not realilze it until now, but Lionel also has another ride model, the Swings. Looks almost identical to the Faller Chairplane, the exception being the mirrored pieces on the Lionel. Currently one on Ebay, at $80 for the moment. Looks like a decent model.

Whats the deal with this thing? This looks almost identical to Faller's Ferris Wheel but with really ugly coloured plastic parts.

The Scrambler is pretty unrealistic!!!!! Its about as bad as the IHC Sea Dragon in terms of realism.
Parts used on the Giant Wheel and Pirate Ship look similer to those by Faller.
When it comes to Lionel I'll stick to the Blue Comet. As for the ride models, Fo-cheesy.
Have you paid your dues Jack? Yeah I paid my dues. The check is in the mail.
I dunno...I think the Giant Wheel looks too fake....but I'll agree the Pirate Ship is nice!

The pirate ship is cool.

Lionel has been slowly releasing some ride models for the last three years or so, starting with a Giant Wheel, then a Merry-Go-Round, then a Pirate ship, now the Scrambler. They come already assembled and do look nice, IMHO. Expensive though.
