Zippers in parks- Trimper's in Ocean City, MD
Also, there was one in Coney Island, NY (anyone
know if that one is still there ?).
A few years ago, I remember seeing a old rusted zipper parked in the weeds at the back of the WQ of Great Sutton Shows in FL. (don't know if it's still there.- so, that might be another one to add to the list of existing but not operating (or whatever we're calling these).
Also, I've been told recently that there is a older zipper at the WQ of a defunct show in Baltimore, MD (Don Scott's show).

http://www.italintl.com/major/m33.htm Also, I beleive there are 3 listed for sale at rides4U. (rides4u.com).
"KC" mentioned one being bought by Jim Boyer (Russ Amusements) from the park in NJ (Casino Pier). I think Hoffa already mentioned this one in an earlier post.
Hoffa really opened up a can of worms with the zipper topic.
I think it's going to be very difficult to account for many of the zippers. - Too complicated. Too many. Some are so old that they have changed owners several times, no telling how many are sitting somewhere, or wrecked, dismantled or sold for scrap metal (or sitting in the bottom of a river) (lol).
Further complicating this is -do you count the ones listed at the used ride sites ?- Many times, the actual ride although listed for sale, is still in the posession of the owner and still being used. So it's possible that some of the ones mentioned on the list could be some of the same ones listed for sale (?).
It would be a lot easier if Chance posted their list of zippers (lol).
It is still fun though "comparing notes" trying to see how many of the 200+ can be accounted for.
It would be interesting (though probably impossible) to do like the coaster and carousel groups do, and have a data base or census of all the different rides, including those existing but not operating.
