I noticed that a lot of the bigger shows tend to offer more POP armbands and sometimes at deeply discounted rates. How well does this work for them? Do the patrons come out and spend more elsewhere on the midway? Obviously that is the goal, but does it work?
In my case it works well and I will tell you why..When I go to an event such as our county fair or state fair or other festivals,I have a set amount that I spend..It is not set in stone, but I try to stick to it..Therefore if the wristbands are less than I had planned on,then the extra money does get spread out ,,,To be honest it is always rides first, then something to eat, then games..
A couple years ago Wade ran a special at the county fair for 12 dollar wristbands if you bought them in advance (which I did)..That extra savings did in fact get spent on games and food.....jeff
