midway of fun looks excellent. Anyone know the story on the falling star?? How long have they had it and how much do they use it???

I agree about Midway of Fun. Looks like they have added some new rides since I saw them last, which was about 5 years ago. They've had that Falling Star for years. I think I first saw it in 2002 at the Stanislaus County Fair, at the time they had their Sky Wheel and Monster ride out at that same spot.

Patrick: yes, RIck is in the process of selling the show to Jason Wold. Not sure if it is a finalized deal, but Rick was there at the fair with Jason the day I visited.

Sue, now that makes sense. Come to think of it I met Jason in 1999 at a spot they were at in Sacramento and we had a long talk. He seemed like a real nice guy. Been with that show for years now. Glad he is moving up. Hope he does well. Very nice photos, too.

Mike,

Did you get a picture of the Casino that was set up in Stockton by chance? I saw it from a distance and was not able to see all the decorations, etc. I never did go in to that fair.

The last time I saw ATS was in 2005 at the Plumas Sierra County Fair up in the mountains. Rick Larson was the owner and I talked to him at length about some things. I had also gone to this show years previous to this. He used to have a Chance Casino that ran realy fast and wild. Now I see this Tidal Wave in these photos, which I am sure is not the same ride. In fact I believe his older Casino was at our County Fair here Stockton this year in June. Did Rick sell the show?
