Terry Schmidt

It is with a heavy heart to report the passing of Terry Schmidt on Sunday, July 21.  Terry, along with his family, own and operate Standish, Michigan based TJ Schmidt and Company.  

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

Funeral Services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Standish, MI at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, with Pastor Matthew Dent officiating. Burial will take place at Woodmere Cemetery, Standish, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. and also on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with the family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Lee Ramsey Funeral Home, 107 E 2nd St, Pinconning, MI 48650.

Terry was born in Bay City, Michigan on April 28, 1958, the son of Sherman and Joy (Wilson) Schmidt. He married Sandra Lynn Arnold on October 15, 1983. He was a life member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. 

He is survived by his wife: Sandra Schmidt of Standish, MI; 2 sons: Joshua and Hannah Schmidt of Ithaca, MI; Kyle and Courtney Schmidt of Riverview, FL; 2 granddaughters: Marley & Harper Schmidt and another Baby Girl Schmidt due in August; 2 sisters: Nancy and Larry Mardon of Standish, MI; Peggy and Tony Anderson of Standish, MI; 1 brother: Doug and Kathy Schmidt of Standish, MI; father and mother-in-law: Ivan and Agnes Arnold of Riverview, FL; 2 brothers-in-law: Thomas Arnold of Riverview, FL; Jon and Karen Arnold of Riverview, FL. He is also survived by nephews: Keith Schmidt, Adam Schmidt, Ryan and Samantha Schmidt, Jason Anderson, Cody Raquepaw, and Alex Arnold, nieces: Jackie Anderson, Lauren Arnold, Jillian Arnold and Heather and Bradley Loper. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church Standish, MI or The International Independent Showmen's Museum, 6938 Riverview Drive, Riverview, FL 33578.
