Rides 4U - New & Used Rides Giant Wheel Foreman Wanted
The Dutch amusement ride company KMG was founded in 1989 and has been manufacturing amusement rides ever since. Located in Neede, Gelderland, Netherlands, KMG has constructed more than 300 rides to date.

KMG specializes in the manufacture of rides and attractions that are easy to set up and tear down, are legal road weight, and have been built according to exacting safety standards.

KMG also handles the maintenance and repairs of rides, and can construct attractions as park models. Every year, around 12 rides are built by the company. KMG has seen success after success with new, innovative attractions. Their product line reads like an all-star lineup of popular midway attractions: the Freak Out, Afterburner (Fire Ball), Inversion, and Speed are must have attractions for major midway companies.

KMG keeps a busy schedule, showcasing its attractions at the EAS show in Europe, the IAAPA Expo in Orlando and the IISF Trade Show in Gibtown.

During the IISF Gibtown Trade Show, KMG will have a Speed on display. The ride is themed Spaceport, and Andy Deggeller of Deggeller Attractions will take ownership of the brand-new ride after the show.

Other new attractions will also be featured for sale. The latest ride to join the company's inventory is the highly anticipated Surf Ride. Jim Otterbacher of Otterbacher Enterprises will acquire the first one for the U.S. this coming September. The first Surf Ride made its debut in Germany for showman Mike Klinge and was delivered in August of 2018.

The ride has garnered attention worldwide because of its appeal to riders of all ages. Not only does it boast a great action and a rider-friendly restraint system, it is also constructed on one semi-trailer and can be easily set up in just 30 minutes with two people on hand.

Peter Theunisz, who has represented KMG since October of 2007, says in 2019 the company will unveil an additional new ride called the X-Drive. The prototype of the ride will be ready in September of this year.

“For 2020, we also have a 65-meter tall Speed (booster) ride with a 32-seat capacity on four semi-trailers,” he adds. Theunisz expects both attractions to receive a lot of attention from potential buyers. "Our first purchasers have historically had great success and bragging rights, having among the first ride of a kind in the US. As the ride becomes sought after and production backs up, buyers have to wait for delivery. I have had lots of interest in our new offerings and I hope to close several deals in Gibtown", he concluded.

Theunisz says that overall, 2018 was another good year for KMG and one of the major accomplishments of the company was the sale of five new Surf Rides. Staying competitive in the market is one of the business goals going forward. The collaboration with Theunisz' companies Used Rides Europe and New Rides Europe make it possible for KMG to provide all kinds of services that customers require to be able to purchase or order a new KMG piece like financing, exchanging USD to EUR, a trade in of a used ride, or shipping.

“KMG stays competitive and is one of the top three leading manufacturers because we develop new rides every other year, and we know what our customers are looking for,” Theunisz says. “We are experts in building rides that require only one semi-trailer and just two or three persons to install and operate the ride. These days, labor is hard to get and transportation is expensive,” he continues. “KMG keeps on succeeding in building rides that meet the demands and requirements of its customers. KMG also succeeds in complying with the latest safety and environmental standards.”

Theunisz adds that in the last 10 years, KMG increased its staff by approximately 10 workers, including mechanics and engineers, to maintain the company's focus on innovation, quality and craftsmanship.

KMG and Theunisz' company Used Rides Europe are involved not only in the manufacture and sale of the rides, but they are actively supporting the plight of shows in the US by supporting the Outdoor Amusement Business Association, the Showmen's League of America, and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions to keep the H2B program alive as a needed avenue for acquiring workers and to stay on top of the latest safety requirements.
