Miami -- The Miami Showmen's Association held their annual New Year's Day party with over 60 people attending. Maggie Rossitto provided the excellent cooking and President A.J. Wilson's planning ensured the party went off without a hitch. Ken Costa, Maggie Rossitto and Patty Goloskie decorated the club for the party. The decorations were football memorabilia with children's manikins. Decorations were generously donated by Kathy Israel. The highlight of the day was the two raffle drawings, one a 50/50 to be split with the scholarship fund and the second, two tickets to the Super Bowl! Maureen Lemos won the 50/50 drawing and Shelby Royal and Steve Ianni won the big drawing for the Super Bowl tickets. Shelby is President of the International Independent Showmen's Association. The other big event for January is the Ladies Installation on January 13th at the MSA's clubrooms. Heidi Bradley will be taking the helm for the second time. The annual World Wide Past President's Fry and Luncheon will be held on Sunday the 14th. The festivities are very popular, drawing members from the Tampa and Gibsonton Clubs as well as MSA. The club is also looking forward to President A.J. Wilson's Banquet and Ball to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel. The event is chaired by Billy Burr, Denise Wilson and Adriane Vivona and the event promises to have some great entertainment lined up by Billy Burr. Tickets are limited, so call now for your reservations at the club offices.
