IISF Trade Show & Extravaganza Opens Tomorrow
Several new exhibitors, educational seminars to be held

The annual International Independent Showmen's Association Trade Show and Extravaganza begins Tuesday, February 8th at the show grounds in Gibtown.  The show is the annual get-together for showmen of all stripes to catch up on stories, old friends, social life and even see what is new and novel in the business.

Larry Nieukirk, Club President said plans are moving along smoothly for the 2011 show.  Larry expects the current version to be "better than last year with a "few more exhibitors" on the grounds.  Larry has taken a personal interest in gaining vendors, working on the computer to send out emails for new contacts and exhibitors and his hard work has paid off though he passes all the credit to his team at the club.  "The show runs itself", he said, speaking of his team.  "I'm just here to help wherever I can", he added.

In fact, several new vendors will be appearing at the show for the first time this year.  "Just A Little Bling" will be selling jewelry products, TNT Confectionary will be hawking funnel cakes on a stick, i-bobble, who claims to have created the bobble heads, Elkins Distributing, selling machines that make shells for ice cream cones and, operated by industry veterans, who will be selling ride parts.

The recent sale of Sellner to Larson International will leave an unexpected void in the traditional space outside the breezeway doors occupied by the company but Larson will have an inside booth and lots to talk about with their plans for the Sellner line.

A new company, Hynd International will be coming from Taiwan to show their new bungee ride for U.S. customers.

KMG, a company that has had great success in recent years at the trade show, will be displaying their recently purchased rides at the show. Peter Theunisz, of KMG said "besides the sale of the "X-Factory" to Drew Exposition I also sold, in cooperation with Rides-4-U, a "Freak Out for Oct./Nov. 2011 and a "Speed" for Dec. 2011 to US showmen. Both rides will be displayed at the IISF Trade Show.

Also at the trade show, Rides 4 U and KMG will display Tim Casper's Inversion themed "Nemesis".

Educational seminars are another highlight of the show.  The seminars are conducting by industry experts and cover many issues facing the industry.   From safety and I-9 compliance to marketing and internet use, they should provide useful information for any business.  The schedule for seminars is as follows:
