Chicago - Past secretary of the Showmen's League of America Emeritus Noble Case passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the age of 94. Noble was a supporter of the outdoor amusement business and its clubs and organizations. He will be missed by many. The Showmen's League of America lost a true Showman with the passing of Charles C. "Noble" Case. In his early years Noble worked as an acrobat. He had an acrobatic act known as the "Noble Trio." This act featured Noble, Bob Parnum and the women that became his wife Catherine "Kitti" Case. Noble and Kitti were wed in 1940 and continued the act until 1964. Noble was hired by Showmen's League Executive Secretary Hank Shelby in 1962 to assist him. Noble worked with Hank until December of 1972 when Hank retired and Noble became the League's Executive Secretary. Noble served as the Executive Secretary until 1992 when he semi-retired turning over the reins to Bob Drewke. Noble continued working at the Showmen's League part time until June of 1999 when he retired. Noble will be interned at Showmen's Rest beside his loving wife.
