More than 32K Expected to See New Ride Technologies Unveiled at IAAPA

The premier conference and trade show for the $39.5 billion global attractions industry - IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017 - opens Tuesday, November 14th and runs through the 17th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The trade show is unveiling an array of new ride technologies, including the Unicoaster 2.0, the first interactive roller coaster, by Chance Rides.

Known as the marketplace of innovation , more than 32,000 industry professionals will find inspiration visiting the nine miles of tradeshow aisles, with more than 1,000 exhibiting companies showcasing the the latest technologies, products, and services across a 560,000-net-square-foot trade show floor. With an expected 21,000 buyers, representing leading amusement parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums, resorts, and other destinations from around the world the Expo is place to learn what's new.  The IAAPA Attractions Expo claims to be the largest annual gathering for global attractions professionals.

According to an IAAPA press release, "with its theme "Join the Creation Nation" the show provides attractions industry leaders and visionaries with everything needed to take every guest experience to the next level, whether through the thousands of innovations, the hundreds of expert-led educational opportunities, or the engaging networking opportunities."

In advance of IAAPA Attractions Expo 2017, several exhibiting companies shared information regarding their latest news, products, and services. (Companies presented in alphabetical order.)

Booth 4364
Alberici showcases a new product line of Jumbo illuminated push-buttons that improve guest tactile feedback, enhance visibility for easier reading, and strengthen overall guest satisfaction for commercial payment systems.

Amaze 'n Mazes introduces a new imaginative maze concept that includes information and fun facts about local wildlife on its exterior panels. The maze features a slide, mini zip line, trapeze, and monkey bars within the its twisting, creative labyrinth.

Aquatic Development Group announces Adventure Lagoon, a skill-based interactive water play adventure combining an inflatable obstacle course, river crossing, and rock wall all in one exciting attraction.

BirdBuffer LLC provides innovative products to help with bothersome birds in attraction food areas. The products emit a safe, grape-scented vapor that keeps birds away from guest areas. (BirdBuffer LLC will host a press conference at its booth on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 4:15 p.m.)

Breeze Creative offers an innovative new product allowing children to draw and color and then watch their designs come to life on a giant wall-sized virtual experience. The product offers easy set-up and customizable content to fit the needs of a space and theme.

Chance Rides unveils the Unicoaster 2.0, the first interactive roller coaster of its kind that allows riders to choose the thrill of a looping coaster or the mild ride of a family coaster. In addition, the classic C.P. Huntington train is available for purchase in an electric, solar-battery powered option. In-station, auto-charging provides all-day operation with zero emissions.

CITC Special Effects Equipment debuts several new special-effects machines including: new Snow-Star laser snow machine; the Maniac II LED moveable head fogger; the BubbleMax Auto-fill machine; the Quiet Cube snow machine, and more.

Cloward H2O debuts the Aquaticar Experience, the world's first underwater driving adventure. Guests drive futuristic vehicles powered by a proprietary Bubble Engine through an underwater world themed for any concept - from a teeming coral reef to a rugged Mars landscape and more.

Digital Centre introduces a new Eclipse Photo Booth that offers a curved 12-foot external LED screen. Interactive capabilities and the option to customize the background give customers the ability to take photos from any virtual location. The photo booth also provides instant access to photos on customer smartphones.

Extreme Engineering debuts the all-new Cloud Coaster with new track and cart design, providing a faster coaster experience with enhanced track layouts. (Extreme Engineering will host a press conference at its booth on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m.)

FetchRev announces the next iteration of its revenue generation and customer retention software for family entertainment centers (FECs). Introducing FIDO, FetchRev's fully automated system, "Buy Now" offers and "Claim Now" coupons, will not only save FEC owners time, but increase their current conversions by 200 percent. (FetchRev will host a press conference at its booth on Friday, Nov. 17 at 11:45 a.m).

LAI Games introduces Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride, an attendant-free virtual reality attraction that operates like a coin-operated game. Based on the Ubisoft license "Rabbids," and featuring premium state-of-the-art headsets, accurate motion base by D-BOX, and dynamic wind simulation, Virtual Rabbids is an experience for all ages. (LAI Games will host a press conference at its booth on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m.)

Mack Rides in partnership with Silver Dollar City and Herschend Family Entertainment will reveal the ride vehicle for its newest thrill ride, "Time Traveler" a complete-circuit spinning roller coaster. (Mack Rides will host a press conference at its booth on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m.)

Magic Jump Inc., one of world's leading manufacturers of inflatable attractions, introduces a  unique 45' H2Obstacle Course Wet/Dry attraction, a combination "obstacle course" and "water slide." The attraction features an innovative patent-pending "hidden stopper" feature for wet/dry slides, and new-to-market DuraBounce fabric exclusive for family entertainment center inflatables. (Magic Jump Inc. will host a press conference at its booth on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.)

MMOne Project debuts the MMOne Virtual Reality (VR) Simulator, a fully interactive, 360-degree virtual reality simulator. Using a dynamic three-axis assembly and powerful zero latency configuration, the MMOne enhances the VR experience by delivering an intense combination of movements and interactions.

PeopleVisionFX debuts Photon HoloImager‘, a display device that provides the opportunity for animated effects to emerge from the flat surfaces of a chamber and move through holographic space. Utilizing unique PeopleVision technologies, the device can use live action, animation, and prerecorded content to captivate audiences and create a deep involvement with any story.

Picsolve unveils a new digital content platform that creates, collates, and shares photo and video moments for enhanced consumer experiences. (Picsolve will host a press conference at its booth on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m.)

Racket Studios - First-time exhibitor introduces a sound proof kiosk for video karaoke recordings. Guests can step into a Racket Studio, put headphones on, and make a high definition audio/video recording of their favorite song that then can be texted to their personal smartphone. (Racket Studios will host a press conference on Friday, Nov. 17 at 2:45 p.m.

Ropes Courses, Inc. announces the company's new role as the North American manufacturer of Clip 'N Climb and owner of Amaze 'n Mazes. The company offers a collection of scalable family entertainment offerings serving customers in the entertainment and leisure industries worldwide.

Semnox Solutions announces the release of Parafait Lumin, a new radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader that allows users to tap anywhere to launch and play an audio system. The product features a 3.5-inch LCD display which is customizable for multiple languages, includes built-in Wi-Fi, and integrates with an external interface board.

Skyline Attractions / Ride Entertainment, in partnership with Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, reveal the first look at its innovative, uniquely designed coaster car for its new Harley Quinn Crazy Coaster, a thrilling dual looping coaster which opens in spring 2018. (Skyline Attractions will host a press conference at its booth on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 12:30 p.m.)

Walltopia Adventure Hub houses high and low ropes courses, adventure trails, interactive climbing walls, parabolic slides, and artificial caving systems. This product offers the diverse activities of an entire amusement center, while only taking up the area of a single attraction. ( Walltopia will host a press conference at its booth on Friday, Nov. 17 at 12:30 p.m.)

Booth 2659
Water Safety Products, Inc. launches two new products, a Water Rescue Station to make code-required safety equipment more visible to the public, and a 24-pair Shoe Drop for guests to leave and retrieve their shoes at the base of a water attraction. Both products are made in America and constructed of recycled plastic.

Zero Latency introduces Outbreak Origins, an innovative eight-player zombie adventure from the pioneers of free-roam virtual reality. Attract squads of players with a 30-minute-long next generation game that features built-in replay value, advanced narrative, ultra-realistic zombies developed using motion capture of live actors, and an epic final battle. (Zero Latency will host a press conference at its booth on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 1:15 p.m_

Booth 5827
ZipFlyer LLC debuts the V2 ZipRunner Trolley and ZipCoaster Shuttle featuring a new, patented variable dynamic braking system. The Eddy Current Braking System is designed to offer consistent speeds accounting for variables such as patron weight, weather, or changing slope conditions. This new system provides the highest levels of safety and the most consistent performance for the widest weight range of riders. (ZipFlyer will host a press conference at its booth on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 11:45 a.m.)

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) is the premier trade association for the attractions industry worldwide. Founded in 1918, IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently located amusement facilities and attractions and is dedicated to the preservation and prosperity of the attractions industry. IAAPA represents more than 5,300 attraction, supplier, and individual members from more than 100 countries with member facilities including amusement and theme parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, science centers, and museums. IAAPA hosts three annual trade shows including IAAPA Attractions Expo, Euro Attractions Show, and Asian Attractions Expo. The association's global headquarters is in Orlando, Florida, United States. The nonprofit organization maintains offices in Brussels, Hong Kong, Mexico City, and Alexandria, Virginia.
