John 'Nick' Alberts Passes
Saturday, October 6, 2018
John ‘Nick’ L. Alberts, born December 06, 1956, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 02, 2018. He lived 61 incredible years on this Earth before passing. He was in the Sun City Center Hospice House surrounded by friends and family during his last days with us.

Nick was a kind, spirited man who always left a smile on everyone’s face. He was born to Joseph and Betty (Jessup) Alberts in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 14 he dedicated his life to his love for helping others find joy, by giving himself to the carnival business. He gave 47 years of commitment to Reithoffer Shows up until his last days. He loved to entertain friends, family, and strangers alike. Everyone that knew Nick knew he was a stand-up guy. He was the type of guy that if you met him once, you were considered a friend. He had an infectious personality that you couldn’t help but laugh with him, regardless of the circumstances. Nick had an appreciation for fishing, playing cards, and everything Harley-Davidson related. He could be found out on one of his bikes on any given day, at the card table playing poker, or on a boat trying to catch anything that was biting. He loved spending time with family, eating his favorite food, spaghetti, and showing his true Maryland side with his affection towards tasty cakes. He went above and beyond for the people in his life and you never had to question his loyalty or friendship to you.

Nick leaves behind his four kids: Jerry Condo, Nick, Jordan, and Julie Alberts, along with two grandkids: Anthony Condo and Meadow Alberts. Nick follows his parents Joe and Betty and his sister Paula Thornhill up to heaven. He was a loving father, brother, and friend. He comes from a large family and is survived by his siblings Helen Thornhill, Larry Green, June Hitt, Joseph Alberts Jr., Betty Kirby, Loretta Murray, Toni Nuccio, Charlene Clapper, Jeff Alberts, Doug Alberts and their families.

Nick’s service is going to be held at First Baptist Church of Riverview on Friday October 12, 2018. Pastor Josh Weaver will be officiating the service at 1:00 o’clock. Following will be a celebration of life in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church of Riverview. The church is located at 8626 US 301, Riverview, Fl 33578.

His family would like to thank the coordinating staff at Hillsborough Memorial Funeral Home and the wonderful staff at the Lifepath Sun City Center Hospice House. And another thank you to the amazing leadership and generosity of those on staff at First Baptist Church of Riverview. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for friends and family to donate to the OABA Duke Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund, at 1035 S. Semoran Blvd., Suite 1045 Winter Park, FL 32792. Please send donations with the description “on behalf of Nick Alberts” in order to allow us to create more scholarships in Nicks’ name to honor his legacy.
