CANADIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION SEEKS MIDWAY PROVIDER

(TORONTO) June 5, 2007 - The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) announced today that it is seeking to secure the services of a Midway Provider to supply, organize, operate and manage amusement rides, game concessions, food concessions and related activities associated with a typical fair Midway. The Request For Proposal (RFP) is issued by the City of Toronto under RFP Call # 9111-07-7196. The RFP will establish a five-year agreement beginning in 2008.
A mandatory information meeting will be held Monday, July 16th for all prospective bidders and final submissions are due by 5pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2007.
Established in 1879 and based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Canadian National Exhibition (www.TheEx.com) is one of the largest annual fairs in North America. Taking place over 18 days leading up to and including Labour Day, the CNE offers a wide variety of entertainment and events, midway rides and games, a working farm, parades and sports, international food and shopping, Kid's World, and a three-day air show. In 2006, the CNE attracted 1.4 million people over the course of the 18 day fair.
The CNE is a provincially incorporated Agricultural Society and also fulfills a program of Exhibition Place, an agency of the City of Toronto. Interested candidates who would like to visit the CNE this summer can do so from August 17 to September 3, 2007. The contract is effective starting in 2008, when the CNE is open from August 15th to September 1st.
