To provide three rides for event

Chicago -- Wade Shows announced today that they have secured the ride contract for the World's Largest Food Festival, "Taste Of Chicago". The contract, formerly held by Farrow Shows of North American Midway Entertainment, calls for bringing three rides to the event, a Giant Wheel, Flume ride and a 3-abreast carousel.
"Its going to be a fun experience for us", said Frank Zaitshik, President of Wade Shows. "I was there yesterday (June 5th) to sign the contract. I walked the grounds of their beautiful location in Grant Park on the water. The city puts on the event and they are very thorough and professional in their planning".
In 2006, Taste Of Chicago drew a record 3.6 million people during the event's 10 day run traditionally held the last week of June through July 4. Music and live performances are presented throughout the event with 70 food vendors who form the backbone of the event.
The 2007 festival will have performances by stars such as Cheap Trick, Kenny Rogers, Soul Asylum, Cracker, Los Lonely Boys, John Mayer and Sara Evans. The event also features dozens of local artists performing on several stages.
Zaitshik said the event made a perfect fit for Wade Shows. "Our Flume ride is normally down those two weeks and with the purchase of a third Giant Wheel, none of our units will suffer any loss of equipment from playing the event. Move in and out will be a challenge but we are planning on bringing in extra hands to accomplish the moves."
The 2007 Taste Of Chicago will be held June 29 - July 8 in Grant Park in Chicago.
